Instead of saying “started book 7 days ago” you should have the actual date and have a feature saying how long it took you to read a book!

Slow

I live in this app as it is my life since I have daily reading goals. But the application is so incredibly slow, it also maintains almost no stats. Comeon Amazon time to put some work into it

I have had a year of brilliant, mostly 5 star reading thanks to Goodreads and the community that contributes to it. Thank you <3

Full of good feature but incredibly slow

On iOS it runs very slow. My phone is like 1-2 gens old and everything else runs well. I feel waiting 10 seconds to load a notification is poor. Overall I like the features and seeing friends activity but performance is underwhelming.

Love Goodreads!!! Great if you want to read more books, get book recommendations or connect with friends. However, I do wish that when reviewing, they had half-star or even quarter star options, rather than making you choose between giving a book you enjoyed four or five stars.

I LOVE this app, BUT …

Goodreads is a bookworm’s dream — I absolutely love it and would highly recommend to all my fellow book lovers out there! The only reason I haven’t given it a 5-star rating is because you can only rate books on the app with whole-star ratings (eg. 2 stars, 3 stars etc.) and I would really, really love to be able to give half-star ratings (i.e. 1.5 stars, 4.5 stars, etc.) because some books are better than 3 stars but not quite 4 stars and it’s quite frustrating not being able to make that distinction! If this could be implemented in an update soon, I (and so many of my friends who use the app also) would be over the moon. Please give us our half-star ratings so we can give you a 5-star one, Goodreads!

Highly recommend

I love that Goodreads can track my favourite/highly rated reads and suggest similar. My reading list just keeps growing! There isn’t enough hours in the day to keep up.

I use goodreads every single day, missing a few key features

This is the only way I track the hundreds of books I read on kindle unlimited, I love love love it! Missing a few key things in-app: GOODREADS GODS PLEASE ADD TO APP: - NOTES: ability to see and update private notes in app not just desktop (I add notes to remember which series it was, or if it’s a KU book or not) - LISTS: ability to save a list for later, if I’m browsing a list and love it, and want to track updates or don’t have time to fully read it all, I want to be able to easily access it later. A “save list” bookmark top right in app then adding “lists I’ve saved” to “my books” or “home” tab would be amazing. This is already clunky and annoying on desktop too so revamp both pretty please. - AGE FILTERS: my kids have started using goodreads and it’d be fab if I could add their age (hidden) in profile so suggestions for my young daughter who loves reading fantasy books wouldn’t show the spicey ones. WILDCARD SUGGESTION: Do a deal with Amazon and Kobo so I can subscribe in-app via goodreads and download/read books directly from the app (like Apple did with Apple TV hooking into Netflix etc). If you do this, please allow family accounts + have profiles like Netflix does so kids can have their own and ONLY see their own goodreads/KU lists not the parents ones (which are passcode protected).

Wont even let me install

Did anyone need to verify their billing information in order to install this app? It didn’t ask me to do that last time. And why should it need to ask me to verify my BILLING information? This doesn’t cost any money.

Full of bugs

Love the intuitive layout etc but the pages won’t load. I have to quit the app to reload. I often encounter “error 400, bad request exception, signature not yet current” or a totally blank page. If fixed, will give 5 stars….
