Goodreads: Book Reviews

I’m trying to start a reading challenge and it doesn’t work. I click on the button but the app tells me to log in. So I type in my details and then the app tells me my password is wrong. So I just click ’back’ and it goes back to normal. But it never lets me start the 2025 reading challenge. Always the same mistake happens. Also, please include dark mode. Cheers.

The app is amazing, it meets the needs that all readers have, however, the translation into some languages ​​is shallow! Brazil would love this app if it had a translation into Portuguese, I'm sure.

I enjoy being able to track my reading progress, keep a list of books I want to read, and the ability to see my friends book updates. However, the app needs to fix a bug that doesn’t correct the filter order for book progression. The filter list of “date updated” does not filter the books in that order at all. Additionally, the app needs a UI lift.

How in the world there isn't an option to change the app’s language on iOS?? Gosh… it would be so much easier to find the books I want to add to my reading list in my native language.

I love goodreads and I think it has the potential to be an amazing and more positive social network. BUT: 1. it looks old and not in a good way. the UX/UI is a boy complicated and the looks could definitely be improved. 2. for people outside the US or non-English speakers, the app leaves a lot of gaps. it’s hard to find books in other languages, the reccomendations are 100% “american”-oriented. investing in translations and a more global database could do wonders to make goodreads THE app/space for readers.

Parece que padece de incentivo pra interação entre os usuários no sentido de criar grupos. O fato de não ter uma versão em português desanima a popularização do app. Mas a ferramenta de scaner a capa do livro é muito bacana.

O que falta: 1. Modernização do aplicativo. Ele tem aparência antiquada. Modo noturno seria uma excelente adição; 2. Conexão com Kindles registrados em contas brasileiras. Acho péssimo ter que mudar para a Amazon americana sendo que vocês poderiam facilmente adicionar essa opção na Amazon brasileira.

Não encontrei uma forma de inserir livros que abandonei. Acho legal ter esse controle para lembrar dos livros que tentei ler e não consegui terminar.
