Inner Balance FAQ
Is Inner Balance free?
Yes, Inner Balance is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Inner Balance legit?
✅ The Inner Balance app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
I have suffered with panic attacks for more than 20years, especially in crowded places like stores, subways, etc. Since March, 2023 I’ve used Inner Balance training daily: in the AM on my way to work, every two hours at work for 5 minutes, on my way back home, in the evenings, and before going to bed. Since last November 2023 I stopped having these panic attacks. It took a couple of good months of practice but consistency does pay off. I am extremely happy about this! Inner Balance app and ear sensor changed my life for the better. I am so grateful for the developers of this device and app. Thank you for your excellent research and work.
A Great Practice for Our Times
I love using the Heart Math sensor and this app for whenever i feel agitation or fear present. 5-10 mins is all I need to re-center. I also love how it helps me notice the difference in feeling present or lost in thought.
Cohérence
J’adore l’application de Heartmath! Elle me permet de m’assurer que je suis bien en cohérence.
Helpful
Good - I wish it had audio prompts instead of just visual for the breathing rates like some of the breathwork apps have - following visual for an extended time becomes difficult.
Coherence goal
I like how this app challenges me to achieve coherence breathing. I feel more connected to myself and also the growing community of coherence.
Rewireing my brain for success!
The HeartMath system (tools, technology & training) is priceless. With the Inner Balance trainer I have been able to track my progress, and see the proof I feel in my improved response to stress. The Inner Balance is like having a coach 24/7 that reflects my dedication to my practice and motivates me to continue improving. - S.Inkster.
Great tool !
I’ve had this device since 2018. It has sat in my drawer for the better part of 6 years, I’m not sure I was ready to notice the benefits of using this tool. I’m currently using it with the Waking Up App from Sam Harris. I have seen more progress with my mindfulness in two months than I have of years of being I consistent and unfocused on any specific technique. This device is an amazing addition when you start to feel Into the body, the device lets you know you are coherent and you can match the bodily sensation of what coherence feels like…. Blown away !
Excellent product
As a clinical psychologist I used HeartMath products going back to the 1990’s to assist patients with complex PTSD. The program and visual aides are very useful in helping patients understand how their thoughts connect to their bodies and how stress erodes oneself physiologically over time. I personal use the latest product for mindfulness practice, and as someone who suffered a near fatal MI, I am mindful of how stress is created and the impact on my HRV. Heartmath is an authentic and scientifically valid tool. I can now track my HRV and today was relieved to see that I am doing quite well (whereas my watch HRV score placed me in the “Morgue Range”. I feel relieved and did not have to wait a couple of years to see a cardiologist. Thank you to all the staff for their ongoing brilliant efforts.
One idea would be to incorporate Zen stillness practices more formally into the system, the Insight and MBSD approaches use Loving Kindness meditations extensively and these are wonderful but for people who have trouble feeling care for themselves there can be an elevating and enriching experience by simply learning how to Let Go and trust their organismic wisdom. Although not within the Zen tradition, Jack Kornfield’s Mind Like Sky (the early version I have been using since the 1990’s) is profound in it’s direct pointing to the ultimate truth of human existence and the illusion of the Self (image). Amazing App, But Add More Breathing Techniques
I love the app. But would love to see more breathing techniques added, maybe they don’t need to be part of the challenges, but would be awesome for meditation/bed time. Some suggestions would be:
1. Triangle Breathing - in for X seconds, hold for X seconds, exhale for X seconds
2. Box Breathing - in for X seconds, hold for X seconds, out for X seconds, hold for X seconds
3. 4-8 Breathing - in for 4 (or X) seconds, out for 8 (or Y) seconds
4. Breath Hold - in fully and hold for X seconds
Some of these techniques are great before sleep or when you need to relax. Not sure how the coherence scores might factor in here, so could be left for just a simple meditation, but would be neat to see what kind of biofeedback we should be looking for while doing these too. Anyway, great app! Love my lightning cord!
Mistake
I started this 3 weeks ago. As far as I feel it’s not worth the effort. I regret starting and find this to be completely useless. I think this is a gimmick trying to be something it is not.
