Very poor for a number of reasons unfortunately
new interface
the new ui is a bit cramped. there are now 3 windows that you cannot resize taking up screen estate. not really an improvement. when i tap on a podcast i would like to see all the details of that podcast and not another one i’m not interested in yet. a more serious problem is the new way things download. the setting “limit the number of episodes” means i don’t want to dl all 5000 episodes of a podcast, so it should not show up in the general downloads menu. they all show up, and the only option is to “download all”. if i press that, my device fills up quickly. other than that i will need to pick each podcast episode individually to download. used to be able to see size of podcast channel downloaded so i can prioritize the larger channels. not anymore. overcast is one of the best podcast apps around, hopefully they won’t tweak it so much that it becomes unusable like the iphone app.
The new interface is a step backward
I used to love this app with it clean, easy to use interface. This new interface is harder to use than the old one. I’m sure the designers had some changes in mind based on feedback from users. Unfortunately, this user is going back to the Apple podcast app.
