Okay aber nicht gut
Schön dass die apple watch dabei ist, aber ansonsten unintuitive UI, immer wieder bricht die Wiedergabe einfach ab oder es wechselt einfach zu einem neuen Podcast. Dazu eine freche, irre Preiserhöhung.

Using for like ever
8+ years maybe. Love it
Negative Entwicklung
Ich war mittlerweile über ein Jahr Kunde von Overcast Premium. Auf Grund der negativen Entwicklung der App habe ich nun aber mein Abo gekündigt und die App gelöscht. Nach dem Redesign der Oberfläche sind zuvor direkt und einfach erreichbare Funktionalitäten an schwer erreichbare Orte des GUI gewandert. Titelbilder von Podcasts sind teilweise nur 50% sichtbar und die Abspielposition wird auch nicht mehr zuverlässig gespeichert. Bin nun auf eine andere Lösung ausgewichen und spare mir 17,99€ pro Jahr.

years I am using overcast and it is reliant and has useful options. Data security seems very fine as well!
Improvements needed
App before swift UI redesign used to be much better and reliable. Current main issues (latest iOS 18 release and one of the latest iPhones): 1)Downloading takes ages until playback of desired chapter can begin. This is frustrating and often I have to switch to Apple Podcasts App where streaming feature works. 2)Chapters list UI is annoying and going unintentionally to web links happens often because it is embedded into the chapter‘s name. Please remove it. 3)Notes section was moved to bottom of chapters list. Please improve. Thanks!
Tolle App
Das Programm ist übersichtlich und auf das nötigste beschränkt, was mir sehr entgegenkommt. Toll wäre es, wenn die AirPlay Unterstützung mit Sonosgeräten verbessert würde. Da hab ich leider immer wieder Probleme, andere Apps funktionieren einwandfrei. Auch eine deutsche Bedienoberfläche wäre schön, ist aber entbehrlich.
Nicht mehr zu empfehlen
Das große Update war wirklich nichts. Das jetzt nach 4 Monaten immer noch AirPlay und die Sortierung von Playlisten nicht funktionieren ist ziemlich arm. Dazu dann noch viele Kleinigkeiten die nerven. Aber dann auch noch im selben Atemzug die Abopreise zu erhöhen ist wirklich ein Hohn.
App is still not fixed
This app used to be great, ugly as hell but did it‘s job. Now with the „redesign“, the app is still ugly, useability of the UI is just worse and most important, months into the release basic functionality is still broken. Episodes just get randomly deleted, timespamps of where the episode was left randomly change. Listening to podcasts is not possible. This is just horrible. Do not use this App. It is broken and listening to podcasts is not possible without daily frustration.
Preissteigerung - ohne Information an mich
Ich nutze gern Overcast Premium. Ich verstehe, wenn der Entwickler Geld verdienen will. Aber die aktuelle Preissteigerung nicht zu kommunizieren und einseitig zu erhöhen dürfte nicht zulässig sein. Durch Zufall habe ich im Account gesehen, dass in ein paar Monaten ein wesentlich höherer Betrag fällig wird. Aufgrund dieser unfreundlichen Aktion seitens des Entwicklers habe ich das Abo gekündigt.
