I have been a subscriber for years and have been really happy for a long time. Especially that I could use the AppleWatch "Now Playing" to adjust the volume and time jumps. Exactly that is no longer possible (apple watch series 2, iPhoneXS). "Now Playing" is useless with Overcast! Which I find very unfortunate.

It keeps randomly stopping

Happens multiple times per episode. At first I thought it was Apple Watch related but it still happens even when my watch is turned off. A bit of googling revealed that other people are having the same issue. This does not happen with any other app, only overcast.

Beste Podcast App

Kann eigentlich alles und ist kostenlos. In-App Spenden nicht vergessen, wer das Geld hat, damit weiterentwickelt werden kann.

Langsam geworden?

Ich verwende Overcast seit Jahren und zahle gern dafür, aber in letzter Zeit ist die App sehr langsam geworden. Was ist da passiert?

Seit vielen Jahren meine liebste Podcast App

Diese App ist mit viel Liebe und dem Nutzer im Herz gemacht. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Insbesondere, wenn man Podcasts mit höherer Geschwindigkeit hören will sehr empfehlenswert.

Time to say goodbye …

Nach vielen Jahren des Gernenutzens (bin auch Fan des freiwilligen Abos), bin ich weitergezogen, da mein altes iPhone neue Updates nicht mehr unterstützt. Jetzt auf Pocketcast funktionieren Dinge plötzlich – auch bei über 200 abonnierten Podcasts – auch auf meinem Altgerät wieder flüssig. Auch die Synchronisation von Folgen über mehrere Geräte hinweg ist super-stabil und blitzschnell. Dass Overcast so furchtbar langsam war, hat mich schon lange gestört. Was ich vermisse ist das UI. Obercast war einfach intuitiv und schön. Ich wünsche Overcast alles Gute für die Zukunft und kommende Updates (und vielleicht kehre ich mit meinem nächsten iPhone auch zurück.) Danke für die schöne Podcastzeit, die wir zusammen verbrachten, und hoffentlich bis irgendwann …
