DB Navigator FAQ
Is DB Navigator free?
Yes, DB Navigator is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is DB Navigator legit?
⚠️ The DB Navigator app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I have bought one ticket from them since since I needed a ticket badly…. The app works fine… it’s really simple and easy. The customer support page tho is something I’m not dealing with. it’s complicated and i honestly think that it can be very simplified. When you go too the website they want you to call, I got social anxiety and don’t speak fluent german. I want to send a mail that’s simple. I don’t know if the situation I got in would even count as a refund.
~ The incident that made me lose trust in the company, enjoy the 50€ donation ~
As someone who bought the Deutschland ticket once, then forgot to pay it so the ticket disappeared. It was fine by me, bc I was not traveling that much by train the following month… the ticket didn’t show up though in my ticket history and I don’t know why. I was going to buy a new one and paid for it all… they they said the ticket would be delayed and they would review it or something. I would soon get a response and it’s been soon 2 months and no response. I’m from now on paying -100€ instead knowing I get a ticket instead of paying ~50€ and then never getting the ticket or a “response in a short time”.
As someone with social anxiety, walking up to a counter at a station and talking to them would probably give me a anxiety attack. I have a feeling they would just go “fill out the forum on the website”
Camera not working
I try to scan my passport to buy a ticket but I can't see anything I scan, the screen stays black and I can't make a correct validation of my id
Inte optimalt som turist
Konstanta inställningar, personal prata inte tyska. Det är säkrare att bara åka u-bahn. Polska rälsnätverket for life! 🫡
Worse than useless
Garbage app. Doesn’t inform you of any alternative routes, just that your trip canceled. All notifications are in German, even for international train travel. Don’t even have the competence to make notifications copyable so you can paste them into a translate app. Just as bad as DB themselves.
So bad
Just want to let everyone know that the trains in Germany suck’s so much. If you don’t like to waste your time, don’t come to Germany.
Avoid Deutschland-ticket as a tourist!
Warning do not purchase Deutschland-ticket as a tourist.
I visited family in Munich on the 20th of april and at their advice i bought the ticket for the convenience of not having to buy a single ticket everyday. No problem with the ticket itself but when i left germany and went to cancel the subsciption i couldn't until the next month because apperently you have to cancel before the 10th of each month, which is obviously not possible since i arrived on the 20th.
So effectiely i paid for 2 months of trainrides when i only used the service for 1 weekend. Yes it's kind of my fault for not doing more research but i feel a bit cheated since the cancelation policy wasn't clearly presented in the purchase.
I tried to reach out to DB about this problem but all the responses i've got have been super vague and in german (even though i've asked them to respond in english).
No Payments possible
The app is easy enough to find and plan trips with, but I cannot pay by either credit card or direct debit (both Swedish), although I was able to enter the details. As a result I have to purchase the tickets in a vending machine upon arrival in Germany, at a much higher cost.
The worst support service in the universe
There is simply no unsubscribe button in their app, the only way to contact an email that no one has answered me in three months (but they were able to send a fine for blocking a direct debit on the bank's side - how should I stop the ticket in that case?)
No updates
No updates in the app nor at the train station. Having to buy last minute tickets just to make sure you get to your destination is just bad.
Messed up information
The end destination of a train in the app does not always correspond with the actual end destination. Caused us hours of delays due to us not getting on the correct train
