Wolt Delivery: Food and more

Need to be able to search for traditional Greek restaurants. Ratings are absolutely meaningless if you don’t show the number of reviews. Explained: 9.5 from 10 reviews is risky and probably bad, but 9.4 from 1000 reviews is probably great. Search is much easier on Uber eats, grab, food panda, and basically every other delivery app for this reason. When someone wants to spend money every day ordering, you should make their experience as pleasant as possible, wolt makes it very difficult (have to type the restaurant names into google to get ratings/reviews). Also need to have more info about popular dishes, by showing highly rated dishes (there’s a difference)

While touring Europe, i used the app many times, there was no single time that my order was delivered on time, the worst part is that the app keeps adding estimated time, and then suddenly says the order has been delivered when the screen shows 8 mins to delivery 🤷‍♂️

Limited help if you don’t have a working sim don’t bother can’t verify over email or anything over wifi.

When things go well, it’s fine but several times already there has been issues. The most recent issue saw my pizza order advertised as 35 minutes by Wolt and arrive cold and inedible 80+ minutes later. I contacted Wolt when I saw the time go from 35, all the way to expected “255 minutes” to cancel the order, telling them we cannot accept the order as it was for dinner for the kids and they cannot wait that long and we needed to make other arrangements. They refused to cancel the order or refund. The pizza arrived after dinner, cold. It was all thrown in the bin. We were online with Wolt customer service for an hour while waiting for the pizza and then another hour after. After 2 hours, still no refund because according to Wolt, it has nothing to do with them. A restaurant can treat a customer anyway the restaurant wants. They take no responsibility. They just take a fee. Disgrace

Could not make this app work! Worked fine once and then would not accept any other card. Tried it on the computer too. Also found out later on they take a 30% cut from the restaurant!! Destroying any meager margin there was in the first place. Can’t wait till Uber eats destroys them

Wolt in Georgia was a godsend when it first launched, but the quality has taken a nose dive as they’ve taken off in popularity. Crappy service. They’ve become a victim of their success, hiring less qualified drivers and customer support to handle demand. The quality has suffered because of it.

I used to love using Wolt but after finding out about their decision to reduce their workers’ pay per order I cannot support them. It feels greedy and I don’t like to see the people actually doing the labour suffering. For context, I use Wolt in Greece.

One price shown on the menu, etc, and then a sudden increase on the order page. Really stupid nickel and diming dishonesty. Are those 100 ft worth the worsened UX? Brainless.

While staying in Athens, I had a few opportunities to order in with Wolt and I cannot recommend it enough. It was ooo-ing and ahh-ing every step of the way. From the amazing UI and experience, to the informative displays. Everything was flawless! Now I wouldn’t even consider UberEats etc., nothing comes close.

They are lucky they have a Monopoly on the market
