The Economist has adopted unethical and predatory methods with subscription cancellation that you can easily find documented online. My experience cost hours of time and multiple attempts as the agents instead put me on other subscriptions instead of cancelling. After years of print and then digital subscription I can only advise you to avoid such scoundrels.
For some reason the developers keep removing the ability to reorder your audio queue every few update generations. In this one again, you are locked in from first click. Don’t update unless you have to.
I love the economist app. It’s how I start my day!
I have always considered The Economist as a reference on many political and scientific matters. It is extremely convenient to have it an easily accessible app.

Great tool to open your mind on the World. It’s a valuable investment when you take the time to regularly read the articles. Strongly recommend even though it’s a bit expensive.
Last update broke the app, which will not open even after much patience and several restarts.
Text selection is worst. The app is just worst.
The latest version of the app, which I use on a mini iPad, offers a degraded user experience. For example, in ‘The World in Brief,’ no words are bolded anymore, and it’s no longer possible to access translation or definition functions by pressing on a word, etc. It’s a bit disappointing.
