Personal added dishes functionality gone backwards
I used to be able to add and EDIT dishes easily, but now it’s freaking difficult and I can’t get it to update the portion made when I’ve made a new batch, so I’m getting extremely frustrated with this app. It now also lists all the ingredients, and it’s just become cumbersome to use. Not impressed. Hate the changes to this aspect of the app.
Can’t Get into App
Have tried multiple times to get into the app and the sign up screen seems to come to a point where I can claim “noom vibes” and gets stuck and I cannot proceed.
Accountability
No matter how old or how many times I’ve dieted, I continue to learn plus be inspired. Most importantly being accountable to someone else’ is what keeps me honest.
Terrible.
The personalised plan is a generic plan where you can’t even swap out meals for others. Don’t eat spicy food? Tough luck! It’s Thai Red Curry on day 3 for you.
I also found the app heavy on the talkie talkie but light on actual eating advice.
Now I am all in favour of spending time with actual therapists. I think that my overweight state definitely has a large psychological component. But guess what? I still need proper advice and guidance with the actual food and portions.
So I’m seeing a nutritionist for less than what this lot wanted for my genetic “personalised” plan.
I contacted support to try to get out of that Thai Red Curry on the menu multiple times this week but they couldn’t help and would pass on my concerns. lol. Bye!
Game changer!
This app has been a game changer for me in regards to eating healthy and loosing weight, in four weeks I have lost 6.7kg (14.8Lb.) It hasn’t felt very challenging to change the way I eat and is much more sustainable than any diet change I have tried.
My relationship with food has significantly improved. I’m not restricting what I eat but understanding how to eat healthy but satisfying proportions and what moderation looks like for each food. The courses it takes you through have really worked through the psychology of why I had a bad relationship with food and have helped my mental health in general. I’m picking up coping strategies that will stop me from using food as a coping strategy and means I won’t be dependent on Noom for ever.
suggestions-
noom is awesome. it was great a few years ago, and even better now. here are some suggestions i think would make it even more user friendly.
1-to be able to take a photo of a recipe and for Ai to log it automatically. I am an avid user of my thermomix, ands its very helpful cookidoo recipes- and it would be a really easy way to enter recipes into my “regularly eaten meals” section of noom. logging foods is one of the most annoying parts of watching what you eat, and this would help streamline the process.
2- for users outside of America- can we change the default measurement section from cups (which differ in size from country to country, which changes the calorific value anyway) to a choice, of cups/gram/mls ect.
thanks for a great app in all other respects
Take money they’re not entitled to
Will continue to take money even after the subscription is cancelled.
so far so good
had the app for a couple of weeks now
i am quite impressed actually
i would highly recommend this app
i am so pleased that it is out there, and i really believe it will make a huge impact on my health
the information is incredible, and written so well and quick to the point.
Overcharging!!
I had the program for $19 a month, cancelled and got charged $79 out of nowhere! Now working with PayPal to dispute but Noom isn’t making it easy. I wouldn’t recommend the program at all to anyone!
Good app but needs improvement.
The content about food, the reading, learning, lessons are fantastic. Probably the best aspect of the app. New content daily to keep you learning is what keeps me going.
The meal tracking is not great. The barcode scanner doesn’t always work properly, most foods in Australia I’ve scanned don’t appear but do when you manually search them. Which is where I’m still having to use MyFitnessPal. At times when searching for foods, common brand names don’t appear at all. Very frustrating when trying to stay on track.
