Excellent efficient service from United associate dealt with a name change very quickly

Amazing App on Day of Travel

The United App did an amazing job of guiding me through my day of travel experience. The realtime countdown timers on the Lock Screen are so helpful for a quick glance while waiting for Boarding to open and gates to be confirmed. I love how the gate change is circled and highlighted in Apple Wallet, Genius!

Not reliable and user friendly

This app can be nightmare from passport scanning to adding details.

Great app

A lot of effort have been spent to make the app very useful and easy to use!

Frustrating!

Had to input information twice and failed to scan passport properly and save information. Very frustrating app!

Had to delete to use browser

Can’t see much benefit to having this app; there’s too many menus and not enough functionality. I tried preordering refreshments for my flight but it would not accept a non US credit card. I signed up for a MilesPlus account (which took two tries as I hit a back button on the security question page and t exited me out of the process completely and I had to restart) and linked my PayPal and added my debit card to my Wallet, successfully, but when I went to my preorder it still wouldn’t allow me to pay with my linked card or PayPal and required a US card. Everyone I clocked the link to order refreshments in the email, the app opened, even if I right clicked to open in browser. I ended up deleting the app, clicking the link, completing the order and payment on the website in the browser, in under a minute. What a waste of my time.

My entire trip has been a waste due to United cancelling flights and losing my bag. Now with yet another cancellation, I can’t even get home for my kids long awaited access. I will need to rebook and reschedule the entire trip as the documents and clothes I needed to make my presentations were in the suitcase. I expected better from United.

Carry on bag policy

I’m trans Atlantic from Europe to US on bag policy on united.com there is a contradiction that basic economy tickets you are required to pay $25 at gate for carry on bag other than personal bag but, are trans Atlantic passengers exempt??? It’s in clear!!!

Checked Bag

When I bought my tickets, I was allowed one checked bag when checked departure airport and destination airport, now using the app to check in I was discovered I must pay for the first check bag 70 US
