United Airlines FAQ
Is United Airlines free?
Yes, United Airlines is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is United Airlines legit?
⚠️ The United Airlines app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I wasn't planning to complain but after the experience I had on my return I have to do so.
I am very disappointed with my experience with this airline. When booking, it was never mentioned that I needed a visa for my stopover in the United States, which caused a lot of stress and inconvenience. Furthermore, during flight number UA915 from Washington, I was served a pork burger by a young steward who had no name on his blue sweater… even though I am Muslim and wear a veil, without any adequate alternative.
it's so disrespectful and sad to come to this in 2024... I expected a more attentive service and respectful of the needs of passengers. I do not recommend this company and will never travel with them again.
Bad, bad and mandatory
On top of an inefficient design that made me waste time on this app, I was forced to register a credit card and give payment authorization for potential in flight purchases and bags management (I don’t have bags). I’m pretty sure this is not compliant with regulations. I won’t fly United again.
Awful
When you check in from the app, the frequent flyer number is transferred half the time. Am not even talking about passport information that are not made available at check in. Obviously the developers never use or test the app.
Horrible for international travelers.
United only allows purchases / saved cards from United States addresses. If you’re an international traveler trying to access services (paying for extra checked luggage, etc.), you’ll need the support of a US-based friend or relative to complete your transaction. For me it was galling because my flight was booked via Austrian Airlines and I was caught completely off guard.
Pas pratique
Tout est en anglais
Missed connecting flight and offered a hotels (twice) in Newark when I was in Denver
Because of delayed flight I missed my connecting flight. I’m in Denver and twice United send my hotel offers in Newark. Hours of communicating with someone in Guam on the United App to finally be offered the worst possible hotel option in Denver. I want the entire ticket refunded for the hours of delays and impossibility of United providing correct service
App not easy
It is not easy to find the boarding pass once you have checked in.
Unable to pay if you are not American
I cannot type my billing adress for my credit card issued outside Us
