I must really praise the author for constant app development. With recent changes it become one of the top and most versatile apps for strength and weight lifting workouts. Big thumbs up!
It's great. Tells you how many sets, reps and how long to rest. Rest timer starts automatically. All you have to do is lift.
I really like this tool. It is simple, gives good guidelines and extra motivation for training.

I’ve been using StrongLifts for about a month now. I switched from Gymaholic, which I had used for years, then stopped, and when I started again, It found that app too cumbersome to set up. StrongLifts makes it super easy to just get into the gym and get started, and I love that. It also makes the process of adding weight a no-brainer. I love the progress graphs, and just about everything is perfect. I WANT to give it five stars, but there is one minor problem that I’d like to see fixed. If the dev can do that (and I think it’s a super easy fix), then I’ll be stoked to come back and leave 5-Stars. During a workout on the Apple Watch (I don’t bring my iPhone to the gym), the back arrow in the upper left hand corner of the watch face, to get back to your exercise list, is almost impossible to hit without logging a set/rest. I‘ve messed up multiple workouts because if this, which has caused the app to think that I didn’t successfully complete a set when I did, and so next time, it doesn’t add weight. If you could make that back button on the apple more functional, I’d really appreciate it, and I’ll look forward to coming back to edit my review and change it from four starts to five. Thank you for a wonderful product! I love it!
I never knew how to lift weights properly. I always felt intimidated going into a weight room and I played all the sports growing up. The StrongLifts App changed all that. I didn’t need to start with 500 lbs. I didn’t need to be a big giant. I just trusted the app, learned the proper techniques first and I got stronger and stronger. Best thing of all is I didn’t have to think about it. The app does it all. Thank you Mehdi!
App Is wonderful, but if you want to do custom workouts you have to pay for the subscription.
StrongLifts is an excellent program to start getting strong. The app is easy to use and is consistently updated with new programs. Take your time to read through the program wiki and understand it prior to starting. Additionally, there is a lot of flexibility to program your own plan. The one thing the app is lacking at this time that I would like to see added is rep progression. Currently you can only select weight or time progression.
