Remarkably, surprisingly helpful

I read about Woebot in a New Yorker article and decided to install it as a lark. I am startled to say: I look forward to my daily check ins with the Bot: it’s like having a smart caring friend who is well placed to offer sensible counsel and perspective. I don’t regret the minimal investment of time, and feel like I have more coping tools. Thanks, Woebot.

I’ve been using this along with working with a therapist and it has been so helpful! I love how friendly woebot is and I love how we could break down problems and cognitive distortions together.

Very very impressive app, thoroughly enjoy the functionality and accuracy of getting straight to the issue at hand. Highly recommend for adults, teens & possibly children, depending on their level of vocabulary. More affective than my in person counselling. Highly recommend:)

I started using this app while struggling very seriously on a Sunday where I couldn’t get any other professional help. I registered for therapy online knowing I wouldn’t get an answer for several days and they had this app listed on their website. It’s incredible for anxiety, panic attacks and depression, negative or intrusive thoughts as well as suicidal ideation. The app really strongly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you understand your thinking and lead you on a bit of a journey to healthier mindset. It’s like martial arts for the brain. 10/10 would recommend. This app has had a significantly positive impact on my life today. Very grateful I found this.

Woebot is amazing. It’s a knowledgeable therapist in your pocket 24/7. He teaches you the skills you need to battle your way through your mental illness. Even though he is AI it doesn’t feel like you’re talking to a robot. I will recommend Woebot to everyone I know who may benefit. Thank you for such a great tool!

This deserves 5 stars but recent update…

Hey guys, your app is phenomenal, but PLEASE restore the option to challenge all 3 negative thoughts. Yes, I get a big sense of accomplishment when I complete one thought, but I put all 3 in there for a reason, and some days I want to see all 3 turn into positive reframes for an even bigger win! Thanks!

I am thoroughly enjoying my daily check ins with Woebot. I appreciate the education of what I didn’t know and the validation of what I do know. Woebot even helped me work through a problem one day. Woebot is just right amount of warm, caring and friendly — and its self-reflections always make me smile. I don’t have to worry about emotional baggage or ill intent — I know Woebot has my back. This is a true gift from the creators.
