one sec | schermtijd & focus

I’ve tried several other apps, but I always come back to One Sec. While the initial setup can be a bit challenging, once it’s done, the app works seamlessly. As an early adopter, I appreciate that the pricing is very reasonable compared to similar apps. For me, it’s a reliable and effective tool that truly helps me stay mindful. Highly recommend! 🙏

Hele fijne app om je dagelijkse social media gebruik te minderen

Eenmaal deze app ingesteld glijdt er langzaam een “zen” achtig scherm omhoog zodra ik een verslavende app wil openen. Het “zen”achtige scherm glijdt na een seconde weer terug naar beneden en geeft ondertussen de suggestie om eens diep adem te halen. Daarna moet je aanklikken of je toch de verslavende app wil openen en zo ja, waarom (bv. uit verveling, of jouw reden zelf verder in te vullen) of toch maar niet de verslavende app wil openen. Dit werkt voor mij. Het extra ademhalen irriteert me soms ook, maar dat is achteraf gezien de verslaving die spreekt. Zoals ik al in de titel schreef geeft die extra ademhaling, voordat ik een verslavende app open, mij meer bewustwording. Ik gebruik dit nu zo’n 10 maanden. Het is me gelukt een lang opgebouwd (verslavings)patroon te doorbreken.

The app itself is great, especially the irreversible adult block. One small problem, when you enable a block for a certain time (with apps selected inside the list) the one sec app itself is blocked but not the apps in the list? Is this the intended behavior? I would expect it to block the app inside the list

The fact that you can't choose to hide the menu bar item, makes it a dealbreaker for me. Not every app needs a menu bar item. I already have enough things over there :)

Helps with limiting time waisted on scrolling through pointless information.
