Nice way to limit social media addiction
One of the Best Apps of All time Safes so much time in my life 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️
I use pro version on my all the apple devices. this helps me lot's of. Thank you.
Such a lovely app idea that does the trick. I am on social media SO MUCH less. Highly recommend for those wanting to be intentional about taking a pause before opening socials!! My one complaint is that it triggers even when I just switch from Insta to one app and then back two seconds later. Apparently if you have the paid version, there is an option for it to not do that, but I personally would recommend it even more if that were available to non-paying users. Thanks, One Sec!
This app has a been a total game changer. I use the free plan so I only use it for Instagram and it’s made me way less interested in opening the app whenever I’m bored or waiting around. Now, I really only open Instagram when I have something specific to do or I know that I have down time where I want to catch up on social media. I don’t spend my whole day thinking about Instagram anymore and there are even days when I don’t open the app at all. Obviously the best solution to overcoming social media addiction would be to delete the apps altogether, but that’s not necessarily realistic and one sec is the next best thing for me. I cannot recommend this app enough.
One sec does an amazing job of swatting my hand away from muscle-memory app opens. It is super annoying in a healthy-parenting kind of way 😅 There’s a bug with latest iOS. The screen time tracker no longer detects turning off my screen as “closing the app.” If I don’t navigate away before turning off screen, it will track multiple hours of being “in-app” when my phone is just sitting in my pocket. Help!
deleted after it kept randomly opening while i was on tiktok and then when i tried to reopen tiktok i had to do the waiting thing again. also all the good features are paywalled
I’m shocked at how just adding a forced pause before opening an app reduces my time on that app so much. The number of times I realize I don’t actually want to open the app but was just doing it out of habitual muscle memory is actually pretty wild. For me this app has been much more effective than seemingly more strict options that block apps or put time restrictions on them - because I just turn those off eventually and am back to square one. This one is easy to bypass by waiting a second if you truly want to. That pause is critical be able to consciously make the choice though.
I’ve been using this app for a few weeks and really like all the features they provide. I would easily give it 4-5 stars but recently I’ve run into a lot of bugs that cause the filters I have set to not work anymore. First it started with the instagram app, now none of filters for YouTube or Reddit work. I really hope the devs fix these bugs because the app has a lot of potential.
