Mixed up reservation
I reserved 1 room, then clicked the link on hotels.com to add another reservation. When we arrived my room had been given to someone else by mistake. The issue lay in the computer thinking I was checked in and them trying to figure out how to back it out so I was in the correct category. In the end it was taken care of. I did do 3 out to 5 stars because of the hassle and frustration of the check in. HOWEVER, I needed an ADA room because I use a walker, they upgraded me to a Suite which was very nice
DO NOT USE!!!
I made a reservation and paid extra to be able to cancel it. I cancelled it within the required time and the hotel still charged me for both nights. Hotels.com claims it’s not their fault and the hotel has kept my money so I’m out $300!!!!
DO NOT USE!! They don’t care about their customers and do not know the policies of the hotels they book for.
Soooo amazing!
Me and my family stayed at this beautiful place from 02/15/24 - 02/19/24. The apartment was spacious, clean with a breathtaking view of the Samana Bay from where we were able to spot many whales! The beds were cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The pool nice and clean.
We had a great time at this place. Special thanks to the manager Freddy and reception Alejandro for the smooth check in and everything else.
Overall, we had a blast!!
Definitely will be back here next time.

Terrible app terrible service
The app and service all around is disappointing. I do not recommend hotels.com In fact, as soon as we end our trip that was booked through this third party app I plan to delete and never use the service again.
Surprise charges
Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Effie but was quite surprised by the self parking charges as well as the resort fees.
App never works since December
Since I changed from an iPhone 11 to a 15, the app never works. It’s been more than 3 months.
Hotel rewards all but removed
I travel approximately 10 nights/month. I originally used hotels.com because of their rewards benefits, stay 10 nights, get one free. That no longer applies, instead they give you "keycash". It's pretty much worthless. Every hotel stay, they might give me $1 rewards. Therefore I have to stay almost 100 nights to earn a free room. Therefore I have chosen to not use hotels.com anymore
Reward Program
I have been a member for years and the change to the current program is horrible. You get pennies for credit compared to what you spend on a nightly rate. Very disappointed
Great Hotel Great location
I have personally stayed at this hotel 4 times. The rooms are always nice and clean. The at night the ambiance in the lobby is a vibe. It is my personal overall favorite hotel downtown Minneapolis.
