Description

Where does all your money go? Exactly where you tell it to!

“We started YNAB January 1st with $37 saved and ended the year with $42,000. Plus we paid $14,000 cash for a new roof.”
-Kyle, YNAB user since 2020

If you’re like the average YNABer (just AVERAGE), you’ll save $600 in the first two months. And $6,000 in the first year. But you might experience something much more powerful than a growing bank account balance or paid off credit cards: 92% of YNABers report feeling less stressed since starting YNAB.

“YNAB has removed the stress of money from my life and in doing so has helped make me a better husband. It's like I got to remove a personal flaw I had never been able to fix."
-Kyle, again. We didn’t even pay him to say this, but maybe we should.

YNAB Reviews

Not woth the money in Europe

JRDRKV on

Slovakia

No support for EU banks that are supported with other competitors like Banktivity or MoneyWiz or even MoneyPro. But the price is same for US and EU so You are getting half of the app for same huge premium price.(Probably the most expensive app in personal finance management). iOS app is so so OK for iPhone but definitely not good enough for iPad (missing reports are biggest fail). On Mac there is no standalone app, only web app. So my advice is to usr only if you have supported bank. Otherwise not worth the money even if the concept of budgeting here is really excellent.

Top web app - totally bed iOS app

I'm tested multiple apps for home budgeting and finance. Ynab is the most controversial of all. From all apps I tested ynab have best web app version but absolutely catastrophic iPhone app. This iPhone app is total flop and it's really useless. There is no single report, extremely bed design and user interface is worse than any other app I have. Ynab is great but if you need also mobile app this is the worst opinion I found on App Store. I give 5 star for web app but -1000 for iOS app.

Not enough stars!!!

This budgeting app changed my family’s financial arc beyond any expectations. If you fully embrace the training and the budgeting, change is inevitable.

Great app, long time user

Been using this for years now, so thought I ought to give it a review. The ease of use makes this worth the money before you even consider how effective the tools has been for helping me keep track of money. Definitely helped us get out of some debt early on, and now I feel so much more comfortable with my finances. I recommend this to friends if they ask about budgeting.

Groundbreaking

Have been using about 1 year. The product has profoundly impacted how we manage our finances and has been exceedingly helpful in planning and tracking expenses and a monthly budget. Highly recommended.

Great system. Once you learn it

Five years into this app and it is very very helpful. 100% worth the price in my eyes. Doing this without the app is an immense amount of work and effort before it even starts benefitting you. Just give it a shot and try to learn the attitude YNAB promotes.

Life Changing

YNAB and the YNAB philosophy of managing finances is life changing. Recommend reading Jesse Meacham’s books and the YNAB documentation to fully understand what YNAB does and why.

Almost 15 Years now!

Started YNAB in 2011... 14 years later, I know where every dollar has gone & given them a “Job”. Been a game changer & I always know exactly what do with every dollar we make. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I suppose this would be an easy app if I was more technically savvy. I found myself going in circles to finally get somewhere but not without frustration. I think there is room for improvement. I find rocket money far easier to navigate so I’ll be going back to that.

Great budgeting app

So I’ve had this app for about 4 weeks now on a trial. It was quite a learning curve for me to get it up and running. I’ve also had trials with a few other budgeting apps. Some of them were easier to setup. Some were “prettier” with all the graphs and color. But most of the other apps I’ve tried had flaws too. From late transactions posting or apps freezing up, to very poor customer help. YNAB customer help is WAY better than the others. And there’s many tutorials online from both YNAB and financial advisors. I’m especially impressed with the a.i. help on the app and web page. Almost any question I submit to it gets answered in a couple of seconds and thoroughly. The other apps that I had a trial in we’re never much help at all. So I would have to send an email in and wait for a response for two days or so before I moved on. That makes it kind of difficult if you only have a seven day trial period on one of those apps. Overall, I am very glad I stuck with learning this app and it’s the one I am picking to use. The only reason I gave it a four star instead of five stars is because of the steep learning curve it takes to use it. But that may not be fair and it may only pertain to me
