Description

How We Feel is a free app created by scientists, designers, engineers, and therapists to help people better understand their emotions and find strategies to help them navigate their emotions in the moment. Conceived in conjunction with Yale University's Center for Emotional Intelligence and based on the work of Dr Marc Brackett, How We Feel helps people find the right word to describe how they feel while tracking their sleep, exercise, and health trends using HealthKit in order to spot patterns over time.

Founded as a science-based nonprofit, How We Feel is made possible by donations from people who are passionate about bringing mental wellbeing to the widest possible audience. Our data privacy terms are clear and easy-to-understand: all of your data is kept on your device unless you opt-in to send an anonymized version of your check-ins to be used in research to help more people.

Whether you are downloading this app in order to build better relationships, make your emotions to work for you, not against you, improve how you handle stress and anxiety or simply to feel better, How We Feel will help you identify patterns through daily HealthKit tracking and find emotional regulation strategies that will work for you. The How We Feel friends feature allows you to share how you feel with the people you trust most in real time, strengthening your most important relationships.

Filled with step-by-step video strategies you can do in as little as one minute on themes like "Change Your Thinking" to help you address negative thought patterns with cognitive strategies; "Move Your Body" to express and release emotions through movement strategies;"Be Mindful" to gain perspective and minimize the negative impact of misunderstood emotions with mindfulness strategies; "Reach Out" to build intimacy and trust, two important tools for emotional wellbeing, with social strategies.

Top App aber ausbesserungsfähig

Benjoo1234 on

Amazing App - + Hoping for Updates

Really amazing app, truly enjoying it & my friedns too, such a beautiful idea. At the same time, there are some things I wish for, which would make it even greater for me: 1) Being able to pick multiple emotions to feel at once… it feels limiting to just be able to pick one 2) Expanding the amount of emotional states to accommodate wider variety of states. Grateful for this creation & seeing a lot potential for it on individual and societal level. So please keep updating & improving the experience according to people‘s feedback, thank you 🙏

One of a kind

This app is so good that I’ve been recommending it to my close friends constantly. Every day I discover a new feature that is so well thought of and yet so helpful.

Amazing and free

Absolutely love this app. One of the best journaling and learning apps I have come across. Beautifully designed and built. Moreover it’s entirely free, since it was built by former Pinterest employees (out of passion) and lives from donations. Lovely. Hope there were more apps like these.

Reflecting on your feelings never been easier

I’m not going to lie, when I first heard about the app I was very skeptic. I thought to myself it’s just another app that means wel but impractical. However, this app is exceptional. Definitely recommend it.

liebs!!

you‘re cute on

Dicke Empfehlung :)

Really helpful

I really like this app and consider it helpful tracking my emotions on a regular basis. The only problem is the import of the weather doesn’t work. It never imports the data. Could you please fix that or tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Amazing app but significant deterioration with last update

papergum on

The alphabetical sorting of tags was introduced in the penultimate update. In this version, it was also possible for the first time to press Plus instead of selecting a tag and enter the letters without creating a duplicate. Huge benefit! Now, the last update of the app is a significant deterioration. Previously, it was possible to press the + and enter the text for the tag. If the tag already existed, it was selected. Since the update, when doing this, a new tag is created each time. This creates duplicates. It also no longer seems possible to delete text. Hence, one has to scroll through the existing tags which can be cumbersome, especially when one has lots of them. Furthermore, the alphabetical sorting of text was reversed with the last update. This means that it now takes much longer to find the relevant tag amongst all existing tags.

Tolle App
